"Together On The Rainbow Bridge"

Thank you for visiting my memorial page. My name is Skyla Spencer and I love animals!! I was blessed and honored to be crowned  Ms. All World Beauties US 2016/2017. I have been using my platform to raise awareness for Thyroid Disease and other causes I am passionate about, one being fighting animal abuse. Here is my story in short.

Cotton and Chance were two cats I had for 15 & 16 years. They died a year apart and were unseperable. They did everything together. Cotton was always ready for an adventure. He was a fighter. He later developed diabetes.

I gave him insulin shots for two years, he did not pass from diabetic compllications he passed from a ruptured Gallbladder. Chance had cancer and died a year later. After Cotton passed I noticed Chance's health declining over time. He was diagnosed with cancer, but I will always believe he died from a broken heart. They loved each other.  Cotton was a protector of Chance. I remember one time another cat came into the yard and attacked Chance and Cotton ran him off.  They were polar opposites. One was brave the other was scared all the time. They made a great team.

I have found myself over the years wanting to do something in their memory and to help animals that may not be so lucky to have a loving home. I have 7 rescued cats right now. It was not planned to make my home a rescue shelter, however, it sure seems it is heading in that direction lol. I am embracing whatever God has in store for me.

All 7 cats I rescued needed homes, some are feral. One of my dreams is to have a rescue sanctuary here in TN. The ASPCA is an organization I look up to, and applaud for all of their efforts in saving animals and stopping animal abuse. I want to do as much as I can to help raise awareness about animal abuse and raise money to help abused animals.

Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. Please join me in celebrating their life and pay tribute by making a donation to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life.

I miss Cotton & Chance everyday. I believe they are on the Rainbow Bridge together now, and someday I will see them again not just in my dreams. I will meet and see them there.

Thank you,

Skyla Spencer
