#TiffDawgRuns
Hello!
This upcoming March, I’ll be running in the 2018 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon as a member of Team ASPCA. I knew I wanted to fundraise for a cause that was close to my heart, which is why I decided to participate in the race as a member of Team ASPCA.
As much as I love running, there’s nothing I love more in the world than my two pups, Lucy and Lucky. Lucy, my Miniature Schnauzer, showed me that true companionship can transcend species. When I’m happy, she’s happy. When I’m sad, she literally licks the tears away. She’s a little ray of sunshine and she puts a smile on my face everyday, even now that I’m living in NYC and she’s home in California. Lucky is my cuddly rescue, and would actually make a great poster dog for the ASPCA. My Dad found her abandoned and abused in a street gutter a few years ago, flea-ridden and unable to move. With a lot of hard work and patience, my Mom was able to nurse her back to health. My best guess is that she is a Corgi crossed with a Shiba Inu, but no matter what her breed, she taught me that every dog deserves to be loved. Now Lucky spends her days napping in piles of blankies and pillows and bingewatching the latest Netflix drama.
I am honored to be raising the awareness and the much needed funding to support the ASPCA's programs. Everyday the ASPCA rescues animals from abusive situations and finds loving homes for cats, dogs, and other critters across the country. They actively work to prevent forms of animal cruelty like puppy mills, animal hoarding, dog fighting and greyhound racing. These animals can not advocate on their own behalf, but the ASCPA gives a voice to the voiceless and fights to provide abused and homeless animals a second chance at life.
My goal is to raise $1,250 by March 1, 2018. I'll be tracking my fundraising results on my Instagram account @tiff__dawg. I'll also be hosting a range of fundraising campaigns across my social media platforms, so be on the lookout for those! I can't wait to race across the Manhattan Bridge, dash through the iconic Times Square, and cross the finish line in Central Park. I'll be dedicating those 13.1 miles to all the animals of the world. Please support me by making a donation and help me make a positive impact in the lives of animals! Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
