Scott's Run for the ASPCA

Greetings Family and Friends,

I have completed a number of races in years past and decided for 2016 that I wanted to run a race raising money for charity.   I chose to support the ASPCA, because 4 years ago (Presidents Day 2011) Kristen's and I's life changed for the better when we took in our cat Milo.  Milo was a two year old short haired cat that my co-worker rescued from under his porch after a stormy night.   It took him a week to build up Milo's trust and lure him out from under his porch.  Through a series of events my co-worker needed to find Milo a forever home and through a coincidence of timing I was the one to take him in for Kristen.  At the time I felt a little suckered into taking him in, but he has melted my heart and I can't imagine a life without him.  Because of Milo I looked for a charity that was dedicated to helping  animals and the ASPCA fights to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life.

On April 16-17, 2016, I will be running with Team ASPCA in the 2016 Star Wars Dark Side Challenge, a 10K then a half-marathon.  Team ASPCA is a national fundraising and endurance training program that I am excited to be participating with as a member.   I am honored to be raising the awareness and the much needed funding to support the ASPCA's programs. Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide.  Please support me by making a donation and help me make a positive impact in the lives of animals!

According to the ASPCA a donation of:

$20 - Feeds an abandoned dog or cat for 3 weeks.

$35 - Vaccinates 10 homeless dogs and cats.

$50 - Provides a medical exam for both a puppy and a kitten.

$100 - Helps spay/neuter a homeless dog or cat.

$250 - Provides collars and leashes for the adoption of 40 dogs and cats resecued by the ASPCA.

$300 - Provides vcacinations of 25 rescue dogs to be placed for adoption.

Thank you!

Scott

Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need.
