Sarah's Paw-some Fur-raiser Run for the ASPCA
Hey y’all, I’m Sarah, and on November 3rd, I will be participating in the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team ASPCA! I ran my very first 26.2 last year at the 2018 TCS NYC Marathon and I was hooked! When it came to selecting a charitable organization to support for the 2019 race, it simply had to be the ASPCA.
I am excited and honored to be raising awareness (and much needed funding) to support the ASPCA’s missions of fighting animal homelessness and cruelty.
All of the animals in my family are rescues: Nala (yellow lab) and Cora (hound) came to us through a North Carolina rescue organization, Samson is a retired racehorse, and Dwight (the cat) was found as a kitten in Brooklyn, with a lollipop stuck to him! I am so blessed to be a part of these animals’ second chances, and I hope to help the ASPCA give thousands more a new lease on life.
In a single year, the ASPCA rescues or assists 47,000+ animals from puppy mills, dog fighting raids, natural disasters, and more, as well as finds forever homes for nearly 5,000 animals through adoption, grants $12M+ to animal welfare organizations nationwide, and performs nearly 90,000 spay/neuter surgeries. A donation from you will not only help me get one step closer to my fundraising goal, but will help the ASPCA give animals throughout New York City and across the country, a second chance.
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from cruelty, work to end animal homelessness and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today. Interested in joining the team? Learn More »
