Running for Karma

11 April 2018 Update: I want to extend a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who donated to this campaign. I finished with 200 miles in the books. I didn't expect to be able to push it that far, but I kept an open mind and just tried to cover as much distance as possible.  Sara kept me up to date with all the donations that were coming in and I am beyond grateful.  Our furries bless our lives and these donations will go to help so many that need our help.  Thank you again!!!

3 April 2018 Update: I checked the website for the first time in a couple of weeks and I want to say thank you to all of you who donated. I didn't want to repeatedly check it to see where we were so I kinda just let it roll. I depart tomorrow (Wednesday) to head up there and start Thursday morning.  Running for our furry companions.

Message: I am excited to announce that I will be raising funds for animals in need.  I am doing this by way of a 72 hour run in Mountain Center, CA (April 5-8); which is in the San Jacinto mountains above Palm Springs.  The ASPCA is something near and dear to the hearts of my wife and I.

In 2014 we adopted a dog from the ASPCA and her name was Karma.  She was the most nurturing and loving animal, with beautiful blue eyes, that transformed our lives and taught us a lot about ourselves.  She only stayed with us for less than three years before her calling came to move on. Karma and I ran every day together, enjoying the simple gift of movement together.  She even ran part of a mountain race with me in Big Bear.  Her message continues on.

If there is any bit of of an animal lover in you, then you know that their love is pure and we stand to learn a lot from them.  You also see other pictures of Bullet (passed), Gunner, Sampson and Luna.  They are all rescues.

I ask that you take a little time to donate whatever amount you can afford to the ASPCA and their endless mission to help animals.  The ASPCA helps connect people with their furry angels.

About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
