Rukia's Memorial Campaign

As you probably know, our beloved cat, Rukia, passed away on August 27th, 2017. When we brought her home from the shelter, she was just a tiny kitten, meowing the whole way home in her little cardboard box on my lap in the backseat. When we brought her home, she hid under the couch immediately, but after a few days, she was sleeping in my room, nestled against my head for warmth. I remember being late for some school function that first week we had her because she had fallen asleep on my lap and I didn't want to get up and disturb her. Over time, she grew into the strong-willed and lovable cat that many came to know and love (and of course, she stopped sleeping in my room), but I will always be thankful that I got to see her softer side, and her loving side, both as a kitten and as an adult cat. She will be missed dearly by all.
