Rebecca's Birthday Campaign
I am donating my birthday to the ASPCA to help save animals lives! Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. The ASPCA is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life. In lieu of birthday gifts, please support me by making a donation and help me make a positive impact in the lives of animals! Thank you.
Animal abuse is a subject very dear to me. I have had my dog (Puss) for 11 years. She was one year old when we took her in. My sister had rescued her from an abusive home. When we got her it took a while to for her to adjust. She would cower and flinch every time we went to pet her. She was afraid to drink from a water bowl, and we had her for several months before she ever barked and when she did it frightened her as if she did something wrong. One side of her abdomen is larger than the other where she has a hernia, the Vet said this probably resulted from her being kicked in the abdomen. I would like to encourage anyone who is considering getting a new pet to please adopt from your local shelters, there are a lot of wonderful animals out there looking for a good home.
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
