Penny's Memorial Campaign
When Tina was hiking in the Glasses moutain she found an injured English bulldog on the trail. The wounded dog couldn't walk by itself and weak. Tina hoisted the dog on her shoulders and started carrying him down to safety, even though he weighed 25 pounds. She reconnected with her dad, who was waiting for her a little ways down the trail, and she credits his sense of humor and the help of angels with saving the poor dog.
"When I wanted to quit is when I prayed. Prayer gave me the strength. That and my dad's jokes. He made me laugh and it gave me energy. And feeling the angels lift the dog off of my neck was what I needed to continue on." Tina found the dog's family, but they were moving and couldn't take him with them, so of course she adopted the dog.
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
