Paws for the Cause
I am excited to announce I will be participating as a Team ASPCA Athletic Ambassador for the upcoming New York City Half Marathon! As extra motivation when training for this race, I am running in memory of my beloved pets Cocoa, Pepper and Lucy, while also raising awareness and much needed funding to support for the ASPCA's programs.
The ASPCA is very important to me. About three years ago my boyfriend (now husband!) and I walked into the ASPCA with no plans to adopt...you know..."let's just look for fun." Two hours later, we have adopted not one...but TWO sweet kitten sisters. I don't know what their short few weeks of life involved before ending up at the ASPCA, but I am so very glad they found their way there. These two girls are truly the center of our world.
