Me & Mr. Darcy
On January 4-7, 2018, I will be participating in the 2018 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented By Cigna® as a member of Team ASPCA, a national fundraising and endurance training program. It's been nearly 10 years since I first tackled 26.2 grueling miles through the most magical place on earth...and now I'm ready to do it again! This time I'll be running for the ASPCA, a non-profit organization that is very close to my heart. Rescuing thousands upon thousands of animals in need every year, the ASPCA is not only committed to saving the lives of homeless and neglected animals, but also to changing legislation and education regarding animal welfare. Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide.
Over the coming months, I'll have my favorite training buddy and fur baby by my side - Darcy! Darcy is a sato rescue from the streets of Puerto Rico, who joined our family when he was just 4 months old. He doesn't know what he's in for, but I bet he will enjoy it more than I will! He's not allowed to come to Disney World for the main event, but he'll be with me for every step it takes to get there. I'll be keeping you updated with how we're getting on...in the meantime, please consider donating to our campaign and help make a positive impact in the lives of animals! Thank you for your support!
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from cruelty, work to end animal homelessness and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today. If you’re interested in joining the team, click here.
