Lucy B's Memorial

Thank you for visiting Lucy B's memorial page. We rescued Lucy in 2008 when she was 7 months old.  She and her parents and litter mates were taken by the Dog Warden out of very bad conditions. The Warden fell in love with her and named her Lucy.  He kept her as long as he could before she would have been euthanized.  He was able to find a rescue group to take Lucy and she was being fostered when we saw her on Petfinder.com.  The look in her eyes led us to drive almost three hours each way to get her.  She came right over to my husband and put her head on his knee and we were in love. She was so gentle and well behaved.  In 2017 Lucy was diagnosed with cancer in her lung area.  She was given just a few weeks to live.  We put her on a mushroom complex right away from K9 Immunity that we had seen work well with another beautiful dog, Tylar.  Lucy's tumor shrank and her bloodwork improved and she had a good quality of life for almost 3 more years. She died in August 2020.  Your donation in Lucy's memory will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. Please join me in celebrating their life and pay tribute by making a donation to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life. Thank you.

About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
