Laura Engelman Memorial Campaign

Thank you for visiting the memorial page I've created to honor my mother, Laura Engelman. As anyone who knew Laura can attest to, she adored animals. And while she was an equal opportunity animal lover - she had a special place in her heart (and home) for those of the feline persuasion. Since I was very small, we always had at least two or three kitties, and sometimes more. This pattern continued for the rest of her life - adopting shelter cats and even ferals. We even convinced my mom's nursing home to allow her to keep a pet cat,  which made her incredibly happy. She has turned me into a verified "cat lady" - the number of cats in my house only kept in check by my husband, who threatens to leave me if the cat numbers start seriously overpowering the number of humans.

So many of you have already been so kind to send flowers. But in lieu of that please consider helping save the lives of animals in need. Both my mother and I would sincerely appreciate it.
