With a milestone birthday it's been normalized to recieve large gifts. However with mine I wanted to raise money for animals in need. Ever since I was a little kid I've supported ASPCA, so it only seemed fitting that I'd give them my support. When I posted publically that all I wanted for my birthday were flowers and for my friends and family to donate I was more than amazed when they followed through. So far both I and my loved ones have donated a total of $500. When the number hit that milestone I figured orangizing a fundraiser would be the best way to track it.
I don't care if only $1 is donated, I'm so proud of those around me for raising what we have and I hope we can only go from there :)
Thank you, and happy birthday to I.
“For animals that are overworked, underfed, and cruelly treated; for all wistful creatures in captivity that beat their wings against bars; for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to death...and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words.”
― Albert Schweitzer
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
