I'm Running the Richmond Marathon for Animals In Need
This November 10th in Richmond, Virginia, I’ll be doing something that I said I would NEVER, EVER do. Always a spectator, never a participant, I have decided to run my first marathon. Over the past few months, I‘ve mastered the art of going to bed at 9pm on Friday nights, and I’ve learned more about chafing than I ever thought possible.
But I wasn’t sure I could do this, so to ensure that I get out of bed for my 5am wake-up calls, treadmill sessions, and long runs in the park, I am dedicating this race to a charity very close to my heart. I’m raising money for animals in need through the ASPCA. As a Team ASPCA Athletic Ambassador, my goal is to raise $750, all of which will go directly to this great organization.
Please consider helping me reach my goal. Any amount is greatly appreciated. It would mean the world to me, to my basset hound, Scallop, and to the millions of abused and homeless animals nationwide.
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from cruelty, work to end animal homelessness and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today. Interested in joining the team? Learn More »
