Why cats are great

Welcome to my fund-raiser for the cutest animals, cats! On this day I want to raise some funds for my favorite pets and help make a positive impact in the lives of these animals! If you decide to donate, you will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs to millions of animals nationwide. Here are five reasons why you should donate for cats:

1. Cats Are Really Clean

Cats are some of the cleanest animals in the entire world; they spend a lot of time each day to groom themselves. This is why they feel a lot softer than other pets like dogs and guinea pigs when you touch them. They also don't have unpleasant smells like other animals often do.

2. They Make Great Companions

One of the main reasons that people keep pets is because they like having a companion. Cats are usually happy to sit with you when you are doing other things, but they can also be super affectionate and cuddle with you while making little purring noises. While dogs need a lot of attention, cats can be just as loving to you without the high maintenance requirement.

3. They Protect Your Home From Pests

Cats are some of the finest hunters in the animal kingdom. They have really perfected it into an art and they love to hunt little bugs and insects in your house. So having a cat will help get rid of all kinds of little crawlers.

But the real advantage is that they also do a superb job of keeping rats and mice away from your living area. It might be pretty gross to find the dead body of a rodent on your doorstep, but it still beats having these pests running around your house.

4. Cats Are Cheap To Maintain

Dogs can be pretty expensive over their lifetime. A cat however, is a lot cheaper. Besides the initial investments you only need to keep buying cat food and litter. Supplies tend to be a lot cheaper than dog supplies as well.

For toys it is really easy to just make something yourself out of cardboard and other stuff that you have lieing around the house. My cat Lola finds these a lot more fun than expensive things from the pets store.
