Friends of the Tweedles

Hi there! I will be participating in the 2018 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend as a member of Team ASPCA, a national fundraising and endurance training program. I am excited to be participating as a member of Team ASPCA and honored to be raising the awareness and the much-needed funding to support the ASPCA's programs. Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. The ASPCA is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life. As my friends and family know, I LOVE animals. I grew up in a house that always had a dog, and sometimes a cat, and can’t imagine life without furry friends running around. Since 2009 I have been the proud mama to the Tweedles, originating with Midori (RIP) and Murphy and since grown to include Dublin, Mara, and Guinness.

As of May 26th of this year, we are fostering a sweet three-legged boy named Woody (aka Woods, aka Woodrow, aka Solo). He has been in a local shelter for months but simply can't compete with the adorable puppies at adoption events. We are sharing his story in the hopes of finding him a loving forever home! 

Although I would happily give up my house to care for every homeless dog or cat, it just isn’t feasible (and my husband would leave me). So I hope I can at least raise $800 for the ASPCA as I train for my third Disney 10K!
