Emma Sophia Memorial Campaign
If you'd like to honor Emma's memory, consider donating to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in her name. Emma was a rescue dog herself, a "foster fail" (as it's called when you foster but then can't let go), but it was really a foster win. Brett and Aditi rescued and fostered their first pit bull back in 2003. Since then, they've had numerous pibbles come through their doors needing a second chance at life. In 2007, a six-month-old little red pibble came along; and there was just something about her. Brett fell in love with her instantly and asked to keep her (please please please). We named her Emma, and she became ours. We continued to foster pibbles, and Emma proved to be an excellent puppy socializer and foster guider. We became an official Pit Bull rescue in 2009 (MN Pit Stop), and continued to help more and more dogs. Aditi began working for the ASPCA as a Professional Behavior Responder, traveling over the years and helping over a thousand pit bulls that were rescued from dog-fighting rings and neglect cases. Although Brett and Aditi don't share their lives together anymore, they did share Emma through the very end, and they share their love of pit bulls and helping dogs in need. Any donation made to the ASPCA will go on to help more dogs in need, and hopefully give them happy stories like Emma's!
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
