Outreach for the animals...one step at a time!
Muffin...Clyde.. Ginger.. Irish..Gannon..Merephee..Casey boy..Casey Girl..Peewee.. Toby and most recently the beautiful and beloved Zoey. These are the names of the animals who were not only pets but a cherished part of their families. They all are part of God's kingdom now but for the short period of time they were a blessing to those who knew them best.
We all have a story about a cherished animal. We can all relate to the unconditional love we experience when we open the door to our homes and shut out the world behind us only to be greeted by the relentless wag of a tail or a screeching meow. We also know the heartbreak of an animal who is lost to us because of age or terminal diagnosis
As I sit here and pet one of my 5 cats I consider why this is so important to me. On November 7, 2015 I will be part of the ASPCA team at WDW wine and dine 1/2 marathon. I do this not only for the pets who have impacted my life but for those animals who are waiting to bring memories to their new owners. I raise money and awareness for the dog who is hungry and homeless. I do it for the abandoned cat who is just a victim of being born. I do it for the widower who just lost his wife and the only comfort and solace he has is their pup's chin resting on their knee as the sun sets because that is just the worst part of the day. Mostly I do it for the animals because they have no voice of their own.
Please reflect upon your own wonderful pet experiences. Please support me and my cause. Your help is greatly apprciated.
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
