This May 6th I'm gonna be racing! As part of my cycling habit I've decided to register for this year's TD Five Boro Bike Tour. It's 40 miles and the route goes all around the city and I am going to be one happy camper that day (although my quads will have some words with me). 

I joined Team ASPCA to help raise $800 in donations to the ASPCA as part of my entry into the Bike Tour. The ASPCA means a lot to me because I've been a lifelong dog lover. Actually, I didn't even grow up with a dog, but, as a little boy, whenever anyone would bring one around I would freak out because I was already in love with them. When I look into my dog Gaius' eyes, or any dog's eyes for that matter, I see a complex, rich, beautiful, loving, caring creature who only wants to give love back to the world. Dogs are inherently peaceful creatures who make our lives richer the closer they are with us. In fact, not just dogs but cats and horses and cows and wild animals, especially the endangered species, all make our lives better. The ASPCA believes in animals and protects them and I think we should too!

PS - these are the two loves of my life, Jankis the Photo-Wary Cat and Gaius the Italian Greyhound. At twelve years old, both of them are old men but they have so much life and they give me life!
