Heather and Mike's Birthday Campaign
Hello everyone! If you know me, you may know that I have a *bit* of a soft spot for animals. Through the years, every single pet I have had taught me gratitude, audacity, silliness, and unconditional patience and love. If you have or had pets, you can probably relate to what it means to have a furry soulmate by your side every day, and what you are willing do to give them the best lives possible.
Mike and I currently have a brood of three cats that were all once feral kittens. One of them, Willy, was a few weeks old when he was found unconcious and bleeding from the head, presumably thrown from a car. He has since suffered from pituitary dwarfism, seizures, eyesight issues, and mild brain damage. But with daily care, he is a happy toy hunter and loving snuggler. We are thankful for the pets we could save, but it breaks my heart that we cannot save them all. Far worse animal abuse, neglect, and torture happens every day. Because of the impact companion animals have had on our lives, we are excited to donate our 33rd birthdays (June 27th and 30th) to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to help save innocent animals' lives.
We are reaching out to ask you to please, in lieu of birthday gifts, celebrate our birthdays with us by making a donation to help make a positive impact in the lives of animals! Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. The ASPCA is very important to us and we appreciate your help as we fight to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life.
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
