Blake Liebert's marathon for animals

Many of you know I have been an active runner for over a decade.  My first race was a local 10 miler in 2006.  It nearly killed me!  Since that race, I have taken my running more seriously, running has now become a passion and consistent part of my life.  As a runner, and a veterinarian, I have found an opportunity to combine two important parts of my life, running, and animal welfare.   On November 5, 2017, I will be participating in the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team ASPCA!

I am excited to be participating in the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team ASPCA, and honored to be raising the awareness and the much needed funding to support the ASPCA's programs. Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals locally and nationwide.

As a veterinarian, I have been involved with various SPCA shelters and hospitals, and have seen firsthand the tremendous compassion and care the ASPCA provides.  My local SPCA shelter and referral hospital provides expert medical care and a safe environment to both small and large animals.  Nationwide, the ASPCA provides all types of care and support to animals and their families.  Most recently, helping the animals and families affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.  These local facilities, and the entire ASPCA organization, do tremendous work and I appreciate your help as we fight to give animals the medical and supportive care they need to get a second chance at life.

Please support me by donating to my campaign and help make a positive impact in the lives of animals! Thank you for your support.

About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from cruelty, work to end animal homelessness and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today. Interested in joining the team? Learn More »
