A.T.'s Memorial Donation Campaign

We found A.T. on the Appalachian Trail (hence: A.T.) when he was two years old. He was a little corgi-beagle mix who had followed some hikers for miles but they lived in the city and couldn't take him. We adopted him on the spot. I was also two years old, so A.T. and I grew up together for the next sixteen years. He was all around perfect. He loved everyone he met and everyone who met him loved him. When A.T. got sick, I was a senior in high school. He died peacefully on May 10, 2017, with his best friend, my mother, by his side, at the age of 18. My grandfather carved a head stone out of wood for him and we buried him under a tree in our yard with photos and tokens of my siblings' and my childhood with him. Luna, his best (doggy) friend, sits at the corner of the porch as much as she can, with A.T. right there, his tree almost touching that corner where she lays and watches the sunset.

I wanted to create this page because A.T. was the type of dog that makes you see the good in the world. I think he would want to keep helping. I miss him every day, and I want to do something for him. ASPCA helps millions of animals around the United States. If we can help give a second chance to the homeless and abused animals out there, then we are not only saving lives, we are gifting love and compassion to all types of people and animals. Anything you donate will go to help ASPCA's services and programs that save lives throughout the country. If you cannot donate, I encourage you to volunteer at local shelters (a lot of shelters have volunteer opportunities for just brightening the animals' days by playing with them or taking them on walks) or adopt a shelter pet. Thank you for being your wonderful self.

About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
