Amber's Memorial Campaign
In Loving Memory of Luke.
Luke was just shy of his 12th birthday when he crossed the rainbow bridge. He came very close to ending up in a shelter when I got him first. He had been living on a farm and was just shy of his 2nd birthday when we brought him home. I had been trying for 6 months to get him; I didn't agree with him being chained, eating off the ground, lucky to have water, and a dog box he didn't even fit in. I offered to buy him and everything...NO was the response every time I tried. Well one day I got a call that if I didn't come get him he was going to the pound. I left right away and for the next 10 years he was a huge part of our family. He was definitely a handful and I was his 4th person but regardless I made a commitment to him and I wasn't going to give up. I can't say he changed a whole lot over the years but it didn't matter. I loved him so much he could do no wrong even when he was and he loved me unconditionally...that's all I needed. We had a bond like no other. He loved his whole family of course but it was very apparent he was a mamma's boy!
Luke could have easily ended up in a shelter had I not seen him first. I have supported and volunteered at different shelters over the years and find it so sad that so many animals are in need of homes. I ask you to help in the fight to resuce animals from terrible conditions and support the ASPCA in thier efforts to care for and love these poor helpless animals.
Thank you for visitng my memorial page. Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. Please join me in celebrating their life and pay tribute by making a donation to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life. Thank you.
