Benjy's Memorial Campaign

Amazing Benjy! Benjy the dachshund!

You may remember him as the cheese-loving French native who moved to sunny Los Angeles, the dedicated digger of tunnels (aka holes in blankets), the intrepid fighter of mailmen, pigeons, squirrels and the occasional gander, the passionate soccer player, the sometimes participant in meetings at Amazon's Seattle headquarters, the small dog with the oversized ego, bark and heart. Often a regular on the Thalys train between Paris and Amsterdam, back when his fairy godmother lived in the Netherlands, he also a regularly traveled to the Bordeaux area of France as well as up and down the West Coast of the United States.

Benjy's journey has come to an end. He died in Paris on April 21, 2017, age 16. He was suffering from a cardiorespiratory disease but passed without suffering.

Many animals are not as lucky as our spoiled Benjy. To celebrate his memory, consider donating a small amount that will go towards helping creatures in need. You don't have to donate the "suggested amount," which is pre-defined by the ASPCA and can't be edited. You don't have to donate anything - just knowing that you are remembering Benjy with love means more than I can say.

About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
