A Princess Runs for a Worthy Paws

Anyone who knows me knows I have a deep love for a few things: animals, running, and princesses. I have three cats that I adore, and a Newfoundland mix who is my constant companion. My three-legged cat Lio and my loving dog Emmy Lee both came from rescue organizations, and I can't imagine my life without them. I want other people to experience the companionship and affection that rescue animals can provide, and I also want to help provide all animals in shelters with a better quality of life until they find their forever homes. I have found a wonderful way to help out other animals like Gracie, Chilton, Lio, and Emmy Lee, while doing something I love (running) with a theme close to my heart (princesses). On February 25-26, 2017, I will be participating in the 2017 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend as a member of Team ASPCA, a national fundraising and endurance training program. I will be completing the Glass Slipper Challenge, running both a 10k and a half marathon for a total of 19.3 miles. I am excited to be participating as a member of Team ASPCA and honored to be raising the awareness and the much needed funding to support the ASPCA's programs.
