Tammy is riding for all the Isabel's out there !

Thank you for visiting my Team ASPCA fundraising page! I created this page to celebrate the rock star pet in my life, Isabel. But not all animals are as fortunate to have a loving home. I will be riding in the TD Five Boro Tour on May 1st and will dedicate my miles to fundraise for the ASPCA ! 

It was National Pit Bull Awareness Month, October 2014, 3 months after a very difficult recovery from spinal surgery and, unbeknownst to me, 2 months before I'd be facing a very painful loss, that I came to meet a beautiful chocolate brown timid pit bull. She was laying in her cage quiet and curled up , the room filled with other dogs barking frantically in adjoining crates. In my heart I knew Isabel was the one!  I had to wait a very long week for them to prepare her to be released, walking away knowing she had to stay in that ACC, as loving as the workers seemed, tugged at my heart but I had no choice but to wait.  I was so happy when the day came to bring my beautiful girl home, on that day I got to save a life ! What I didn't know and wouldn't come to know until months later, is that she would be the one to save me!  

There are so many abandoned and abused homeless dogs out there that need our help. If only I could take them all in ! This is my way of giving back to my Isabel and to all those babies out there who do not have a choice or a voice of their own.
