Run for their lives!

WE DID IT!  THANKS TO ALL OF  YOU VERY, VERY MUCH!!!!!  SEE YOU IN 2017!!!

I am about to embark on a fantastic challenge and I need your help! I have signed up to train for and run the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals  (ASPCA).

In case you don't know, a marathon in 26.2 MILES! Say it with me, 26.2 MILES! Oh my!

A lot of folks ask me why I am doing this. There are so many reasons. One is, of course my love of all animals. I feel it is my responsibility as a decent human being to help them in any way that I can. If I have to run 26.2 miles and beg for money to help them, so be it.

Another reason is to prove to myself that I can do this. I smoked for 31 years and quit 2.5 years ago. Running keeps me from picking up that habit again. By the time this race is here I will have run countless 5Ks, 8Ks, 10Ks and 5 half marathons, so it also seems like a natural progression. Though it is probably something I'll only do once!

And lastly, HELLO! It's Disney World!

Please visit my personal fundraising page today and donate online: https://www.aspca.org/team/RunForTheirLives

If you would like to pay by check instead, please make it payable to the ASPCA and mail to Team ASPCA, 520 8th Avenue, 7th Floor New York, New York 10018 (Please make sure to include my name and "Run for their lives" in the memo line of the check).

Or..

I'll be happy to take a check or cash and send it in myself on your behalf.

The ASPCA is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight to end animal cruelty, homelessness and neglect.

Thank you in advance for your support of the ASPCA and my efforts to complete the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon! Together, we CAN make a difference!

Thankfully yours,

Laura
