In Memory of Robert Louis Rebideaux

Robert Louis Rebideaux peacefully passed on from this world surrounded by his loved ones on October 24th, 2015. During Robert's life experience animals had always been a huge aspect of his identity. He was a kind and compassionate person who believed that all animals should never have to suffer and that it was our responsibility to protect those that are unable to protect themselves. His most recent canine companion, a beautiful German Shepard by the name of Midnight had an extreme impact on Robert's life. Midnight came into his life unexpectedly and unwarranted. In fact, Robert did not believe he wanted to keep her at the time. It was during his recovery from his third open heart surgery as well as during the process of mending a broken heart after losing his loving wife. We all thought "this is the last thing he needs right now!".  It became quickly evident that we were so very wrong about that thought. In fact, Midnight was the exact thing he needed. As Robert continued his journey of recovery both physically and emotionally, Midnight quickly became his best friend. They did everything together. It was often said that Midnight gave Robert his life back and he would often tell people that this dog saved his life. We are all so grateful for the companionship and positivity that this experience provided.

We ask that in leiu of giving flowers or gifts to the family that you make a donation to the ASPCA.

Robert Louis Rebideaux's physical presence may no longer inhabit this earth but the compassion, generosity, and life affirming words will forever be with each and every one of those who knew him. His soul has been recieved in the Kingdom of Heaven and he rests alongside his wife, son, and his Heavenly Father.

"To know him is to love him"
