Run for the ASPCA (in memory of Julianna)

On March 16 2016, my family and I had to make the very difficult and heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Julianna. One of the most loving animals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, my baby girl was already too sick and tired to continue the fight. The one thing that consoled me, and still does, is knowing  that we loved her like crazy. She had a pretty great life for a dog full of happiness, kindness, and love. She helped raise many kittens and was so wonderful at it that the grown cats would give her a snuggle every single day. She was a wonderful wonderful dog and we still miss her tons.  With her passing, I became so much more aware of how much other cats and dogs need our help. Either because they're homeless, have been abused, or both. And just a few weeks after Julianna passed away, it was time to register for the RunDisney Food and Wine marathon weekend. I found out I could run under an organization and help raise money for them. Of course, I chose ASPCA and said "this is what I will do in her memory". Our blonde beauty was so caring and giving of her love and joy, it made sense to remember her by helping less fortunate animals.  And so, my fundraising goal is $800. If your life has been or is currently made even a tiny bit better by an animal companion of any kind, please find it in your heart to donate to not only my campaign in honor of Julianna, but also to help those animals that haven't been as fortunate. Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide.
