Erin's 2015 TCS New York City Marathon
October 26, 2015
IT'S MARATHON WEEK! I am terrified and so excited! The MCM went great! All the girls did great! I am so proud of them. Matt gets in Thursday! Then, it will be so real: the biggest physical challenge I have ever completed! Thank you so much to those of you who have donated your support means the world to me and in addition to the fur babies I will be running miles for you!

holy cow! Taper is hard. I felt incredibly unstoppable at 20 miles a few weeks ago and now? I feel so unprepared hopefully it all pays off! I am so excited and have enjoyed training so much thanks to my marathon friends who run for TNT! I am beyond thankful for all of the support, especially my boyfriend, Matt. He is so encouraging and has been a huge influence in all of this. Bring on NYC! I can't wait!

what an incredible day 9/11 has become. My Facebook newsfeed is filled with memories of what happened and reflections of the exact moment we learned of the devastating news. I remember my own day, sitting in speech, when the news hit our TV sets. Our teacher, Ms Robb, who was probably the best teacher I had in high school, taught us what this attack was, the significance of the date, and what this meant for our future. We all changed that day. This weekend I run the miles for the heros who saved so many that day, the pups who helped sniff out the living and the dead, and the incredible men and women who continue to fight for the freedoms we enjoy each day. Thank you just doesn't feel like enough
I am so pumped! I am hitting miles higher than I ever dreamed I would run! Even better news is that I feel great while running 13 plus miles is terribly hard on my knees and back but it's so worth the pain knowing the miles I run are for such an amazing cause. This weekend will be 8 miles with Team Out for Blood for TNT (I am insanely grateful for them allowing me to train with them!) + 5or 6 later that evening with Lycan! Fur babies well taken care of and fuzzy lives saved because of YOUR donations make the painful miles so exciting and fun! THANK YOU!

I will hit the double digits this weekend! It has been rough with the humidity but every mile is worth it if it means saving some fuzzy animals! ️️Lycan has been a champ through it all! He's gotten up to 7 miles with me on cooler days as long as there are some rivers or sprinklers around! He's the best running partner! I've uploaded some pictures so take a gander!
Running for a Reason
When I decided to run the TCS New York City Marathon on November 1, 2015, I wanted to find an organization that was close to my heart. I chose to run as a member of Team ASPCA and am excited to be raising the awareness and the much needed funding to support the ASPCA's programs. I have a very special place in my heart for animals and my heart breaks knowing abuse of animals is an everyday occurence. Your donation will help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide. I appreciate your help as we fight to give abused and homeless animals a second chance at life. Please support me by making a donation and help me make a positive impact in the lives of animals! Thank you
About the ASPCA: Fighting for animals is a 24/7 job, but your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Every single day of the year, we are rescuing animals from neglect and suffering. With your support, we are able to rescue animals from dog fighting, cockfighting, and puppy mills, work to end animal homelessness and farm animal cruelty, and provide medical care for countless pets in need. Please help us save even more animals and donate to this Team ASPCA campaign today.
