5k in Memory of Swiffer
I will be participating in the 2018 ASPCA Virtual 5K in memory of my recent foster failure, Swiffer. She may not have been from the SPCA but this is a cool, unique fundraising campaign that I’m happy to support! Swiffer got her name based on how she looked when rescued. Her long black fur was matted and full of leaves, twigs, burrs, you name it; she was a kitty Swiffer pad. Shortly after arriving in the shelter it was clear that 1) she did not like other cats; they stressed her out and 2) she was terminally ill. I brought her home to give her some peace and love in her final years and truly believe I gave her more time than she would have otherwise had. In return she gave me so much love and I was blessed to have known her .
