24 Hour ASPCA Charity Stream

The Event:

On July 14th at 10:00 AM PST, Eric, Val, and Tim will be hosting a 24 Hour ASPCA Charity Stream on Twitch. We’ll be playing a variety of games (Hearthstone, Overwatch, Realm Royale, to name a few) while raising money for a cause that is very important to the three of us.

The stream will be separated into three 8 hour streams, and will contain additional guests. Further details to come in the next few days.

We’re looking forward to supporting such a great organization, while spending time with you all during our first 24 hour stream together!

About the ASPCA:

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. I’ve been involved in Animal Rescue for the past 10 years, and have seen first-hand the positive effect of animal rescue organizations. My family fostered, then adopted, our Bernese Mountain Dog “Jasmine” in 2008. Jasmine was rescued from a Puppy Mill, and overcame many difficult challenges on her way to becoming a happy and healthy member of our family.

Since Jasmine, my family has fostered countless rescue animals, while adopting three more (Baxter, Bruno, and Chloe) along the way. In addition to rescue work, I also volunteer every month for an organization that helps provide pet food, litter, and supplies for low-income households and the elderly.

Unlike my awesome partners in this 24 hour stream, I've unfortunately not had much experience in Animal Rescue. I have, however, always been part of a dog-loving family. My father was a dog handler in the military, and brought his love of dogs home with him.

Growing up we always had 2-3 German Shepards at the house, and I'd argue a home isn't a home without a few loving animal companions. My current dog Dakota, who I got during high school, is a wolf-shepard hybrid, and is one of the most important parts of my life.

I'm proud to be able to take part in an event that will help support the rescue of other animals who deserve the same love that my family's dogs have gotten throughout their lives.

I've rescued two dogs in my life, both while they were very young and uncared for. One was just 6 weeks old, found alone in the woods, covered in ticks and botflies. The other was in a suburban neighborhood with nowhere to go. I still own both beautiful puppies and they are the loves of my life.

Hanno is my primary Twitch emote, and I like to show off pictures of Maybelle in my Discord all the time! If there is anything that puts a smile on my face at the end of the long day it's them.

Being in the military, I've also seen many people displace their animals, as the animals could not travel with the Service Members. I have taken care of at least five different cats and dogs under these circumstances, and made sure they always found loving homes.
