On November 6, 2022, Team ASPCA will join runners at the world’s most popular marathon—the TCS New York City Marathon!
With your commitment to run in the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon, you’ll help us as we continue to rescue, protect and create meaningful change for animals in need nationwide.
*Per New York Road Runner’s (NYRR) new policy, in order to participate in the race, all runners are required to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.*
Frequently Asked Questions
In order to guarantee your spot, a recommitment form is needed on file. If the recommitment form is not received by the deadline given to you, you will not have a confirmed spot in the TCS New York City Marathon.
As per NYRR’s new policy, proof of a negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted in place of proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Only proof of full COVID-19 vaccination will enable a runner to participate in an NYRR race.
If future New York City Marathons are canceled for any reason, NYRR will announce resolution options and process. You will still be held to your commitment to run and fundraise for the ASPCA, however, your fundraising minimum deadline will correlate with the year you participate. For example, if you wind up running in the 2023 NYC Marathon, your fundraising deadline will be in October 2023.
If you do not reach your fundraising minimum by the deadline, we will charge the balance as a donation to the credit card indicated on your recommitment form.
Every team member who registers and completes the recommitment form is committed to reaching their fundraising minimum by the deadline regardless of situations that may arise. These entries are crucial fundraising opportunities for the ASPCA which is why we must ask everyone to commit to their fundraising goal when we assign the race entry to their name.
You must reach 50% of your fundraising minimum by September 11, 2022 and 100% of your fundraising minimum by October 16, 2022.
