Vote For Your Favorite ASPCA Moment from 2018!

Whether rescuing animals from natural disasters, protecting them from cruelty, or caring for vulnerable lives—you continue to help us be there for the animals who need us most. And 2018 was no exception!

In 2018 we were able to capture some powerful moments that show just how far your support goes—from storms to wildfires to loving reunions, you truly help make a difference for so many. And in honor of all that we accomplished together, we want your help choosing the best photo of the year.

When Hurricane Florence barreled down on the Carolinas, leaving behind destruction and severe flooding, the ASPCA Field Investigations and Response team quickly moved to assist animals and people impacted by this storm—especially those animals found stranded in rising flood waters.

When the Kansas Bureau of Investigation requested assistance in rescuing 45 dogs from a suspected dogfighting ring, we could answer the call, thanks to you. Of those 45 dogs, we found several small puppies in need of immediate fluids and care. Like the little guy seen above, these dogs were cared for and taken to a temporary shelter where they could get the care they needed.

Sir Patrick Stewart lent his voice and his time (and his arms!) to help encourage others to #breakthechain and end dogfighting. He spent a day touring the Canine Annex for Recovery & Enrichment where he took the time to give plenty of love and affection to former cruelty victims.

This year we worked to care for thousands of vulnerable, tiny kittens, and even asked for your help in naming one of our ASPCA Kitten Nursery residents—Hamilton! Through the success of our Meow for Now campaign, we were able to secure foster homes for kittens across the nation, effectively saving lives, like Hamilton’s, and allowing for more space and resources for overcrowded shelters to help even more animals.
