Together We Can Make History for Puppies, New York!

New Yorkers, we have an amazing opportunity to strike a blow at the heart of the puppy mill industry. The New York State Legislature will soon consider a bill to prohibit the sale of dogs, cats and rabbits in pet stores! As you probably know, puppies sold in pet shops almost always come from cruel commercial breeders, which keep animals in crowded and filthy conditions.

New York has one of the country’s highest concentrations of puppy-selling pet stores. At any given time, there are approximately 2,000 puppies for sale in pet shops throughout the state. But this year, we have the power to change that. California and Maryland have passed similar laws: The Empire State should be next!

This is a huge moment for New York’s dogs and we’ll need to act quickly. Please sign up today and we’ll alert you when it’s time to take action in support of this history-making bill!
