Help Us Reach More Animals in Desperate Need

UPDATE: Earlier this month, our teams were on the ground in Vermont rescuing over 50 maltreated huskies who have since been transported to an ASPCA recovery center.

Now safe in our care, these dogs are receiving daily care, including medical and behavioral treatment and enrichment from our experts. This includes enrichment, socialization with people, playgroups with other dogs, and quiet time each day to decompress. One rescued dog birthed a litter of puppies following her arrival to our facility, so our staff is also working to ensure the newborns have everything they need.

Some of these dogs may be ready to find homes in the coming weeks, others will require longer-term treatment. These dogs may have never experienced small things we often take for granted, such as walking on leash, playing with a toy or learning to trust people.

We’re committed to providing these dogs with expert treatment to give them a second chance at life in loving homes, but we need your support. One of the easiest and most effective ways to be there for animals like these all year long is by becoming an ASPCA Guardian with an automatic monthly gift. Your monthly donation will help us as we work to rescue, protect and care for more animals in need nationwide. Please make your first Guardian gift today.

For your convenience we have put together some of the most commonly asked questions below about how our program works. Of course, if you have a question not covered here, please feel free to call (800) 628-0028.

Q: Once I've made an online gift, how can I make changes to my account (i.e. change amount, change my credit card number)?
A: It's so easy! Please just call (800) 628-0028. If we receive your change prior to the month's processing deadline we can make the change effective for that month. If not, it'll take effect the next month.

Q: What if I need to stop giving. Can I stop whenever I want?
A: Of course! Just call (800) 628-0028. Your cancellation will take place the same month, or the following month, depending upon when we receive your call.

Q: Will I receive verification of my donations for tax purposes?
A: All monthly donors receive an annual statement reflecting the prior year's total contributions. This statement is usually mailed in February.

Q: When will my credit card first be charged?
A: Monthly charges occur once per month. Your first online gift will be charged to your card on the date that your transaction is made. All subsequent charges will occur around the 20th of each month.

If you prefer to give by phone please call (800) 628-0028.
