Dear Senator,
As a constituent, I am urging you to oppose S.B. 519 to make sure Tennessee’s cities can exercise local control and keep puppy mill dogs out of pet stores. This bill would unjustly bar localities from determining what is best for their communities, putting animals and consumers at risk.
Local jurisdictions should retain the ability to pass ordinances to keep puppy mill dogs out of pet stores and prevent unsuspecting consumers from ending up with abused, sick animals.
