Thank You for Cosponsoring the PUPP Act

Dear Representative,
As your constituent and a supporter of the ASPCA, I want to thank you for cosponsoring the Providing for Unhoused People with Pets (PUPP) Act (H.R. 3957) to ensure that unhoused people with pets can access emergency shelter. As you know, the PUPP Act would create a grant program that would provide funds for homeless shelters accommodate pets, provide basic veterinary services and more. This will remove a significant barrier to emergency housing for people with pets experiencing homelessness. I thank you for your leadership on this important issue and urge you to support the inclusion of the PUPP Act in the Farm Bill.

Please Support the PUPP Act--H.R. 3957

Dear Representative,
As your constituent and a supporter of the ASPCA, I ask you to please cosponsor the Providing for Unhoused People with Pets (PUPP) Act (H.R. 3957), bipartisan legislation introduced by Reps. Jason Crow (D-CO) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and support its inclusion in the Farm Bill. The PUPP Act would create a grant program co-managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that would provide funds for homeless shelters to support clients with pets, including by accommodating pets and providing basic veterinary services. Unfortunately, most homeless shelters do not allow pets, and unhoused people will often refuse assistance if it comes with a condition of giving up a beloved pet. The PUPP Act will help ensure that people with pets can access emergency shelter. Thank you for your attention and consideration.
