Possible messages

As a resident of New Jersey, I want to thank you for signing A. 1970/S. 1298 into law to phase out some of the most extreme confinement of farm animals. Thank you for ensuring that New Jersey’s agricultural identity as the Garden State is in line with the values of New Jerseyans, who want farm animals to be treated with compassion. Prohibiting the intensive confinement of mother pigs and veal calves and allowing them enough space to move freely is a commonsense decision that will improve the welfare of thousands of animals. A. 1970/S. 1298 enables New Jersey to lead the way in showcasing more humane farming systems that benefit New Jersey farm animals, farmers, and consumers.
