I want to thank you for your support of the S.160 provision to enable funding for welfare-certified farming in Vermont. This first-of-it’s-kind law positions Vermont as a leader in responsible farming and will help animals, farms and consumers thrive, state-wide. The demand for welfare-certified products is rapidly growing both inside and out of Vermont and S.160 will help Vermont farmers meet that demand and communicate their best practices to buyers. Once again, thank you for your support of welfare-certified farming and for your help in securing passage of S.160 this legislative session.
