Face-to-Face with the ASPCA

The ASPCA’s face-to-face fundraising program is a team of professional, knowledgeable and highly-trained fundraisers who aim to start conversations about the lifesaving work of the ASPCA, and provide the opportunity to make an immediate difference for animals across the country. Look for them around your community!

You may see our dedicated and enthusiastic fundraisers on busy streets or outside businesses in your communities. Here’s how you’ll know you’re talking with an authorized ASPCA fundraiser:

  • They are wearing an orange or black ASPCA branded bib, jacket or shirt.
  • They have a badge prominently displayed with their name and photo identifying them as a professional fundraiser with one of our partners: 3Sixty, Ascenta Group, New Canvasing Experience (NCE), or Up Fundraising.
  • They have other ASPCA gear and materials.
  • They have a tablet to collect payment information electronically.
  • They will not accept cash or check donations.

If you have any questions about our fundraisers, please call (888) 779-5599.

Why do we use face-to-face fundraisers?
Face-to-face fundraising is a cost-efficient and effective way for the ASPCA to connect with new or potential supporters. It allows for a positive, dynamic conversation with an ASPCA representative, for a more in-depth look at some of the ways the ASPCA is helping to rescue, protect and place animals across the country. It’s a great way to spread our message and to get more people involved!

Why are we engaging in face-to-face fundraising right now?
In these uncertain times, the ASPCA’s work doesn’t stop. There are still many animals in our care—at our Adoption Center, in our behavioral rehabilitation programs and in the ASPCA Animal Hospital—who will continue to receive the same level of service from our dedicated staff. We are currently doing everything we can to maintain our most critical services, balancing the safety of our staff with our work to help animals, animal welfare organizations and communities in need.

What health and safety precautions are fundraisers taking?
Our face-to-face partners have made significant changes to the way they conduct fundraising activity, doing so in a way that meets CDC guidelines and ensures the utmost confidence from the public. This includes wearing PPE, maintaining social distancing and using touchless technology. If you have concerns regarding our health and safety precautions, please feel free to call (888) 779-5599.

Is my personal information secure?
One hundred percent secure! Our fundraising partners are compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations. Our fundraisers use tablets to electronically collect your payment information, and once your gift is submitted, they can no longer access it. You will also immediately receive an email from the ASPCA confirming your gift.

Thank you for visiting ASPCAvoice.org and for making a generous monthly gift to the ASPCA.
Your membership will make a great difference for animals across the country.

FAQ

For your convenience, we have compiled answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about how our ASPCA Guardian giving program works below. Of course, if you have a question that has not been covered here, please feel free to call (888) 779-5599.

Once I've made a gift, how can I make changes to my account (i.e. change donation amount, change my credit card number)?

A: It's easy! If you ever need to make a change, please call (888) 779-5599. If your change is received prior to the month's processing deadline, around mid-month, the change can be effective for that month. If not, it'll take effect the next month.

What if I need to stop giving? Can I stop whenever I want?

A: Of course! Just call (888) 779-5599. If we receive your request on or before the 10th of the month, your cancellation will take place the same month. Otherwise it will take effect the following month, due to our processing times.

Will I receive verification of my donations for tax purposes?

A: All recurring donors receive an annual statement reflecting the prior year's total contributions. This statement is usually mailed in February.

When will my credit card first be charged?

A: Monthly charges occur once per month. Your first monthly gift will be charged to your card on the date that your transaction is made. All subsequent charges will occur around the 20th of each month.
