Be There for Animals All Year as an ASPCA Guardian

Our teams have been deployed to multiple locations in the past two weeks:

  • Nine dogs were removed from an apartment after the NYPD received a complaint about the condition of the animals. The dogs were found malnourished in unhealthy, unsanitary conditions. The young puppies were observed to be emaciated and dehydrated.
  • At the request of the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, we transported 31 cats to the ASPCA Adoption Center and other local shelter partners to receive ongoing care to prepare them for adoption. These cats had been removed from extremely unsanitary, overcrowded and hazardous conditions in Glen Cove, New York, alongside 129 other cats.
  • We removed nearly 30 animals found living in poor conditions, including 21 dogs, four cats and one pigeon, from a property in Brooklyn.
  • An ASPCA team will deploy to Massachusetts this week to assist MSPCA-Angell with the daily care of 170 farm animals.

While these animals are now safe, countless animals nationwide are still waiting for rescue and relief. The easiest and most effective way to be there for animals like these all year is by becoming an ASPCA Guardian with an automatic monthly gift. When you join as a Guardian, you’ll help ensure that we can be there for suffering animals whenever they need us. Please join today.

For your convenience we have put together some of the most commonly asked questions below about how our program works. Of course, if you have a question not covered here, please feel free to call (800) 628-0028.

Q: Once I've made an online gift, how can I make changes to my account (i.e. change amount, change my credit card number)?
A: It's so easy! Please just call (800) 628-0028. If we receive your change prior to the month's processing deadline we can make the change effective for that month. If not, it'll take effect the next month.

Q: What if I need to stop giving. Can I stop whenever I want?
A: Of course! Just call (800) 628-0028. Your cancellation will take place the same month, or the following month, depending upon when we receive your call.

Q: Will I receive verification of my donations for tax purposes?
A: All monthly donors receive an annual statement reflecting the prior year's total contributions. This statement is usually mailed in February.

Q: When will my credit card first be charged?
A: Monthly charges occur once per month. Your first online gift will be charged to your card on the date that your transaction is made. All subsequent charges will occur around the 20th of each month.

If you prefer to give by phone please call (800) 628-0028.
